BitPet® originated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and is based on research on exergames (video games that involve physical exertion). About the role:
The CTO role is both challenging and rewarding, and you may also be in consideration to be a co-founder, which entails significant equity in the company. As a CTO you will work in close collaboration with our remote team, but also join us in building up a local team of developers. On a daily basis, you will contribute to maintaining a highly scalable code-base, and over time take on a leadership role. This is a great opportunity to develop yourself as a leader, as well as refine your overall technical competency. You will build up a deep understanding and overview of our evolving code-base and the different technologies we use. As a CTO you will also be involved in other important business operations, as well as assisting in hiring and training new developers. As an early employee, you will be involved in shaping BitPet as a company for the years to come and partake in the adventure of building up our game studio, both professionally and socially.
Responsibilities:

Develop high-quality Unity C# code and architecture

Evaluate and implement up-and-coming technologies

Work closely with the team on the development roadmap

Distribute and share knowledge in an inclusive manner

Develop and teach game-development best practices, and mentor more junior developers
Qualities and experience we look for:

5+ years of experience with Unity, C#, and Git

Experience of managing teams, mentoring, coaching, motivating others

Self-motivated

Take on responsibility

Passion about game-development
